Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant 

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-month initial contract

Languages: English required, Spanish required

Overview

We’re currently working on a programme that requires an experienced Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant to come in and support delivery on an initial contract.

The role is very much hands-on, centred around building and enhancing planning solutions, while working closely with stakeholders in a client-facing environment.

It would suit someone who is comfortable getting into the detail, while also engaging with the business to shape effective planning outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on configuration within Workday Adaptive Planning
• Develop and refine planning models to support business needs
• Create and maintain dashboards and reporting outputs
• Work with stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
• Contribute to the successful delivery of ongoing project work
• Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to best practice

Required Experience

• Strong experience working with Workday Adaptive Planning
• Track record of building models, dashboards, and reports
• Good understanding of financial planning and forecasting cycles
• Comfortable working directly with stakeholders and end users
• Able to translate business needs into system-based solutions
• Clear communication skills and a practical, delivery-focused approach

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on full lifecycle Adaptive implementations
• Background in finance, FP&A, or related areas
• Exposure to international projects or multi-country environments
• Additional language skills are a plus
