Workday Financials R2R Lead

Overview

We’re currently supporting a major finance transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Workday Financials R2R Lead to join on a contract basis.

This role will focus on leading the Record-to-Report workstream within Workday Financials, taking ownership of design and delivery across a complex, multi-stream environment.

You’ll be working closely with both business and technical teams, helping shape solutions and ensuring successful delivery across the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the R2R workstream within Workday Financials
• Own solution design and configuration across accounting and reporting processes
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into system solutions
• Provide input into design decisions and ensure alignment with best practice
• Support delivery across testing, deployment, and post-go-live phases
• Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure end-to-end process alignment
• Identify potential risks and support resolution across the programme
• Provide guidance and support to other team members where needed

Required Experience

• Strong experience working with Workday Financials, particularly R2R
• Proven track record delivering within transformation or implementation programmes
• Hands-on configuration experience across core financial modules
• Solid understanding of financial accounting and reporting processes
• Workday Financials certification (preferred)
• Confident working in stakeholder-facing environments
• Able to operate independently within a delivery-focused setting

Desirable Experience

• Experience across complex or multi-country programme environments
• Additional Workday certifications
• Exposure to adjacent finance systems or planning tools
• Previous experience supporting or leading small teams
